It is native to the southeastern United States (eastern Texas, southern Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the Florida Panhandle).〔(Biota of North America Program 2014 county distribution map )〕 ''Quercus arkansana'' is a deciduous tree up to 15 meters (50 feet) tall.
